Setting off to ALT

Submitted by Kieran on Sep 05, 2011

This week I'm off to the ALT 2011 Conference in Leeds.  I was asked a few month ago by my boss to get a qualification called CMALT, which is "Chartered Member of the Association of Learning Technologists"  Seems like a good idea I thought, so I finally signed up on the website and low and behold I then I got the opportunity to go to the Conference.  Hey!!!  Cool, I get to hang around with other geeks, network which is something I rarely get to do and get some ideas that I can share with the college hopefully.

So what I'm I going to do there?

Well up to now I'm going to a few sessions about VLEs and using the cloud for learning along with a few case studies from other colleges/universities. Lets get going!!!

At Bradford, we got all our learning technologists to go through CMA:T and several of them are here at ALT-C today - happy to share experience.
Why not come to the LERSIG meeting at 5.30 today and help us develop ideas about VLEs?
